Gerald was a striking Bengal cat who used to roam freely in the Minster Quarter of York.  If you saw him, you certainly wouldn't forget the encounter, and might very well benefit from it.  Stories of Gerald providing comfort and friendship to strangers rolled in after his death in September 2020 and within days a crowd-funding campaign had raised enough money to erect a permanent memorial to this much loved and admired feline.
