For your consideration is a charming and whimsical piece of antique crested china(heraldic china) featuring a black cat playing a white piano. This miniature novelty was a popular souvenir from the early 20th century.
- Crest: Features the colorful coat of arms for Dedham (Essex, England).
- Maker’s Mark: Stamped on the base with the "J & S Lucent England" shield mark, including "Registration Applied For."
- Design: A glossy black cat with a red bow tie, seated at a piano with gold-line detailing.
- Dimensions: Approximately 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) tall.
- Condition: In good vintage condition for its age. Please note there is visible crazing (fine glazing cracks) on one side and the back of the piano, which is common for English pottery of this era. No chips or repairs were noted. (See photos for detail).
